A few weeks ago, a friend of mine named Mary Hoang made this dress and gave me the creative freedom to do whatever I want with it, so I decided to keep it simple and paint faces of the character I created Agape using textile paint. I felt like it looked a little plain with just black line so I added small touches of red on the lips. I painted on both sides of the dress, the first one being the design going across the body and the second design starting from the middle and working its way to the corners of the dress. I had a lot of fun doing this and maybe in the near future I could try out other designs and maybe even customising it using beads. It’s definitely gotten me thinking of the direction I could go with my clothing prints.
For the past few months I’ve been inspired by music and self expression but a lot of these paintings were done on impulse. So now I’ve decided, for the next few months, I want to take my time and focus not only expressing a feeling or emotion but on the skill. I want to see how I can develop this style and also explore and develop my own painting skills. As an artist I do feel like there is never a limit, you’re always changing, your art changes as you grow older and experience and see new things. I used to get so drawn back when I saw someone who I felt was better than me but now I’ve realised that you cannot compare art. Everyone is different, everyone has different tastes.
There is no perfect, just better than before.
You can only get better, with your craft. I posted the work I’ve done recently on two separate projects on my BEHANCE … The Empress & The King. Please let me know what you think .
At the moment, I’m working with multi-genre producer Tanaka Samuel on a few projects, all will be revealed very soon! But for now, have a listen to his debut release here! Tanaka remixed a singer named Vicktor Taiwo’s cover of the song Kiss you by One Direction which can also be found on the soundcloud! I did the art cover to that piece ENJOY MUSIC

Taylor is a friend of mine and one day, it was miraculously sunny… I say it was a miracle because at the time it was cold and raining EVERY DAY! So we decided to just play around with the camera and have fun with the fish eye lens. Kudos to Taylor for filming and editing, click > HERE < to check out his videos. Music was produced by DJ HUMMER
Here are some photos taken in between filming I’m wearing the Endure sweater! If you would like to purchase it for £25! Purchase it HERE
We all have dreams, I do believe that some dreams are triggered by things that you see or listen to but I think they definitely have a deeper meaning. I had a dream last night and I tried to draw what I dreamt. My dream:
I dreamt I was walking towards a mirror and I was slowly peeling away clothing, revealing myself to be a robot/android. When I saw myself in the mirror I picked up a screw driver and started unscrewing my face, once removed I wiped the dirt from the face and I compared it to another face and screwed it on.
What could this mean? Does it mean anything?
Finally! After how many months… BAM I own Jinafire Long! First of all Jinafire’s name is played on the name Jennifer… Cool points already all the way up there! Jinafire is the daughter of the Chinese dragon and is from Fanghai, another wordplay on the place Shanghai.
Analysing the doll, she has to be one of my favourites, after the Venus McFlytrap doll. I feel like the Monster High dolls are paying more and more attention to detail! Jinafire has long green hair with black streaks and it’s styled in an intricate way. It reminds me of Hatsumomo from Memoirs of a Geisha, when she isn’t all made up as a Geisha! hair loosely hanging from a bun. She has a hair piece that has red tassels and what looks like a golden flower, which I assume must be a Chrysanthemum. Her skin is gold and it’s metallic paint accentuates the scales. Her dress has a modern twist on the Chinese Cheongsam and is draped with a mesh fabric. Her Dragon tail also has a green tip to match with her hair. The doll is a beautiful and my next purchase will hopefully be Catrine Demew!
Here it is, the third and final book written by Ella December and artwork by myself!
