Mikey Espinosa – Colour blind

Mikey Espinosa – Colour blind (08.09.2012) water colour on A4 paper

Music can sometimes really influence my execution of how I paint or draw etc. The music really allows me to access my emotions and how I feel at a certain time, especially if there’s a specific song that you can somehow make a connection with.

So I did a little research about Native American headdresses. They were worn by chiefs and were often worn during spiritual ceremonies. A chiefs headdress earned feathers because of the good deeds they did for their tribes and it was a symbol showing that the person wearing it was an important figure. They were also worn by warriors but the feathers were earned by doing brave deeds. They were seen as protection and were sometimes worn during war!
