Herself, the glorious issue REVIEW

I love disney, I love video games, I love comics, I like films, mythology and history. I’m interested in art and fashion… So what catches my eye while I’m in Selfridges? A fashion magazine that features all of the above! I’ve decided to tease you with some of the contents in this magazine and most of them are my favourite images because they have my favourite characters or people in history! Just to name a few… The thing that caught my eye was the image of Mulan, I thought… “Mulan!? On a fashion magazine?” She’s definitely in the top 3 when it comes to favourite Disney characters (Ariel being number 1.) The spreads for Mulan were simple but what blew my mind away was that SAILOR MOON was featured. Sailor moon was the first Anime I fell in love with so I will always have a soft spot for her. Nowadays she’s just a “I remember Sailor moon, I loved her so much” so for me to see her in a fashion magazine with the characters wearing Alexander McQueen, definitely struck my heart!! Here’s the page with the girls in McQueen. It’s a beautiful magazine, filled with beautiful imagery, it’s colourful and playful! So consider investing in it :). What I thought was charming about the magazine was the fact that they had interview-esque parts and that just topped it off for me! Finally images of Cleopatra, Helen of Troy and Dowager Empress Cixi!

All these images belong to the Herself magazine and it’s creators! It ‘s priced at £10 and it’s a hefty magazine so it’s worth it!
