The weather is getting colder again and my Endure sweaters are back! My model Junoh is 6ft 4 and wears an XL sweater. Available at www.mikeyespinosa.bigcartel.com ! The T-shirt is associated with my latest Fairy Tale book “O&Love“
Princess Rapunzel, Disney labeled the name Tangled to appeal to all genders, I have no issues with that it’s a great movie after all! I kept the fascination she has with the stars by adding glitter to the dress thats hidden within the pink layer and also added the golden flower brooch to show her relationship with her backstory in the Disney film.
Painted with acrylic on canvas, I wanted to capture the beauty of the traditional Filipino dress known as the Mestiza. I also created an illusion of what seems to be either the dress soaked half way in water or a galaxy styled design. The sleeves reach towards the sky as if in flames to show the power, intensity and heat of the Philippine country and adorned her with pearls since the Philippines is known to be the Pearl of the Orient.
Princess Tiana, is a beautiful and strong willed character from a working class background in an early 1900s glamorous world. She’s wearing a dress similar to what Veronica Lake wore for the 1940s “I married a witch” film. The original dress was black but of course I altered the dress to suit her Princess Frog green motif as well as adding some nature looking features.
My redesign of Kida from Disney’s animated movie “Atlantis.” What a great movie this is, my redesign is based on their design concept. Pre modern, strong, intelligent people is how I saw them and I tried to capture this with tight wrappings on the body with fabric and bulky jewellery. Her status as princess and royalty hopefully is seen through the draping of the clothing.
My redesign of Meg from Hercules.Sassy, flirtatious and strong willed. She is probably the Disney character with the most sex appeal and I wanted to portray this with her clothing and pose. She wears my interpretation of a Roman/Greek tunic held together by knots.
My redesign of Disneys Jane from TarzanThis adventurous lady is a British born y known as Jane. Her and her father travellednto the jungles to research on gorillas, there she met Tarzan. Her redesign very much latches onto the original but I added more frills and layers.
My redesign of Disneys PocahontasWith Pocahontas redesign, I wanted earthy tones and textures.
My redesign of Belle from Disney’s The Beauty and the Beast.Belles original dress had texture on her dress so I wanted to add these layers to the dress as well as the iconic rose that plays a part with the Beast’s destiny.I imagine Belle to gracefully sweep the dance floor and library with her dress.
